Specifically, bioinformatics, biophysics, biotechnology, and neuroscience all saw increases in the median salaries of our respondents. Which fields will fare best this year? Scientists need clerical staff also. And we do not make anywhere near enough. \nScientists make enough salary as it is. If you get rid of all of your support staff, who is going to help you correct your mistakes, and believe me I've seen some lulus in the material that scientists submit for proposals, travel arrangements, etc. Enough about scientists already. Big Pharma employs a lot of them to create medicines (some of which are generics that they rebrand in order to charge more. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT. I had a cousin who used to be a drug rep, he told me what the Big Pharma was up to a long time ago, and he was 100% right. They're just in it for the $. So are the higher ed units. Money talks, good help walks.
