I greatly admire Dr. Meyerwitz for his long-time research effort on plants.  I am a (now retired) university soybean agornomist (plant physiologist) and many of this basic research findings have had translational impage potential in advancing the productivity of Midwestern USA cropping systems.  Jim Specht
