This will provide you limited access to the current month's issue, blogs, Community and more. If you have not set up an account at The-Scientist.com to subscribe to the print magazine, it is necessary to create an account online to be able to have limited access to the content.

If you would like to have unlimited access to The-Scientist.com premium content, including over 20 years of The Scientist Archive, it is necessary to purchase an online subscription, starting at $4.95.

How do I create a username and password?

When you register you will be asked to create a username and password.

During the registration process you will also be asked to provide contact information, indicate your interests and set your e-mail preferences. Your username and passwords are not case-sensitive. Your username is your e-mail address, and your password should be over 4 characters in length.

You may change your username or password as often as you wish; however your username must be a valid e-mail address. You may update your account information at any time by logging in to MyScientist. We recommend that you retain a copy of your registration confirmation e-mail for future reference.

Do I have to log-in every time I visit the site?

You will only need to log-in after you read 3 pages of the site in 30 days from any computer or browser. After that, our system will recognize you for 30 days and you should not have to log-in again. If you access the site from more than one computer, you will need to log-in in on each computer.

Cancellation requests can be made by phone, e-mail and mail.

Please include your account number, name and current mailing address.

Please Note: If you have recently canceled your subscription but are still receiving the magazine, it can take 3-7 weeks for a cancellation to become effective. Therefore, if you receive any invoices after you have submitted a cancellation request, you may disregard them.

Why do I continue to receive renewal invoices for a bill I have already paid?

Our subscription files are maintained by a fulfillment service and managed by a dedicated team.

Due to the lead time required to generate renewal notices, process orders and payments, you may receive an additional invoice after you have already sent in your payment. However, if you receive more then one renewal notice after you have submitted payment please contact customerservice@the-scientist.com We will correct the issue promptly.

When will my delivery begin?

New subscriptions are processed within 48 hours and magazine mailing labels are printed 2 weeks prior to the cover date of each monthly issue. Delivery of your first issue should occur 3-8 weeks after your order has been processed.

What should I do if my magazine does not arrive or is damaged?

If your monthly issue has not arrived by the second week of the month, or your issue arrives damaged, contact customerservice@the-scientist.com for a replacement copy. Replacement copies are mailed within 5 business days.

Why have I stopped receiving the e-mail newsletters?

There could be any number of reasons why you have suddenly stopped receiving our regular e-mail newsletters. Some of these reasons include technical issues with our mailing system, delivery issues with your mail system, mailbox unavailable or full, etc.

Your first step to restart your delivery of our e-mail newsletters should begin by managing the e-mail communication you receive by visiting "E-mail Preferences" within your MyScientist account. Once there, you can select the types of communications you'd like to receive from us.

Secondly, check that the email is not going into your spam filter. Check your filters and "whitelist" the email so it can continue to be delivered. You may also need to check with your email administrator if you continue to have problems receiving your email.
