Return to Top comment: good points.. by T [Comment posted 2007-03-06 01:37:56] I feel that Hwang probably did this "stunt," out of desperation to figure out such a high profile idea, obsession over the fact that it COULD be possible, and greed of wanting to be named in the first success of this nature, whether under false pretenses or not....many scientists are/were probably driven to the point of obsession or desperation to find answers to the cloning topic, but for what reason, i don't know...of course cloning is "all the rage" in what Could happen in the future, but if you truly think about it, from all angles, do you truly feel that it's absolutely neccessary?? i dont... i think that we, as humans and creatures created by god, can and will be able to survive without the advances of cloning, since we have been able to do so thusfar...there are however advantages to the aspect of cloning such as reproducing organs needed to save lives, but the cloning a whole being aspect, i feel, is unneccessary, and just another added luxury we humans feel we need, but truly only want so that we can have a more "relaxed" and lazy, dependant upon others, type of lifestyle, which i feel beats the purpose of becoming individuals.....
