GeneGo, a data and analysis software provider of the life sciences, announced a collaboration with industry and academic scientists to compile a comprehensive database of stem cell lines, an effort they're calling the MetaMiner Stem Cell Project. It aims to compile information on the development and biology of different types of stem cells in just 24 months.
Will this project fill a longstanding gap in the stem cell field? What are some important elements that should be included in this massive data-compiling endeavor?
