You'll be happy to know that I use chalk and blackboards to lecture to my third-year biochemistry class on heart disease and free radical biochemistry, and I use white boards and pens to teach second-year students the biochemical physiology of digestion. I do give them handouts of the more complex diagrams, which are also displayed on the overhead projector. I could use PowerPoint, but I have found by experience it is not the best way to get the information to the students.
