US salaries are starting to recover after last year’s survey recorded the first-ever drop.

To conduct this survey, The Scientist invited 1800 readers via E-mail to respond to a web-based survey form. There were a total of 220 responses from March 2 to 12, 2001, a response rate of 12.2%.
