For nearly thirty years, Barbara Stagno has dedicated her career at national animal protection organizations to exposing and challenging the use of animals in experiments. She has led numerous initiatives to highlight and combat animal suffering and mistreatment across corporate, academic, and government research facilities. In 2014, she founded Citizens for Alternatives to Animal Research & Experimentation (CAARE) to focus on the ability of scientific advancements to make powerful progress in ending the use of animals in research and testing.
