Find the cells that matter. Leave the rest behind.

In antibody discovery, isolating a single cell is only part of the challenge. The real goal is finding the right cell—whether that’s a rare antigen-specific B cell, a promising hybridoma, or a high-producing recombinant clone.

CellRaft AIR brings imaging, screening, and cell isolation together in one automated workflow, giving researchers more information about individual cells and colonies before deciding which ones to recover.

Cells grow naturally on CellRaft Arrays, where they can be repeatedly imaged and evaluated over time. Researchers can use morphology, fluorescence, and functional assays—including antibody secretion assays—to identify the cells or colonies with the characteristics they want.

Found a winner? CellRaft AIR uses gentle magnetic retrieval to isolate the individual CellRaft containing the selected cell or colony. There’s no need to send valuable cells through a fluidic sorting system, helping preserve viability for downstream expansion, sequencing, and characterization.

For antibody-producing cell lines, imaging also provides visual evidence of colony development from a single cell, helping researchers establish monoclonality with greater confidence.

With CellRaft AIR, antibody discovery becomes a more informed selection process:

  • Screen before you pick. Evaluate phenotype, fluorescence, secretion, and other characteristics before committing to a clone.
  • Find rare cells. Image-based selection helps identify valuable cells hidden within heterogeneous populations.
  • Keep cells healthy. Gentle, fluidics-free magnetic isolation minimizes stress on cells you’ve worked hard to find.
  • Know where your clone came from. Track colony growth over time with image-based evidence of monoclonality.
  • Move winners forward faster. Recover selected cells for expansion, sequencing, characterization, or antibody production

From primary B-cell and hybridoma screening to recombinant antibody cell line development, CellRaft AIR helps researchers spend less time chasing clones—and more time advancing the ones that matter.
