11:00 AM - 12:00 PM ET
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) engineering has transformed cellular immunotherapy, but extending these approaches to solid tumors remains challenging. Glioblastoma presents particularly significant barriers because of its complex tumor microenvironment and limited treatment options. Engineering alternative immune cell populations directly within the body may provide new opportunities to expand CAR-based therapeutic strategies beyond conventional ex vivo approaches.
In this webinar, Xiaoping Bao will discuss a strategy for generating CAR-neutrophils in vivo using engineered extracellular vesicles and lipid nanoparticles to target glioblastoma. He will examine how in vivo-generated CAR-neutrophils enhance the efficacy of existing glioma treatment models and discuss how light-sheet microscopy enables high-resolution investigation of particle localization in tissues and whole-animal models. The presentation will highlight how in vivo immune cell engineering and advanced imaging approaches could inform the development of cellular immunotherapies for glioblastoma and other solid tumors.
