I was interested to read the "Lab Holiday Wish List"1 and more specifically, the wish expressed by Werner Dubitsky, University of Ulster, that there be broader integration of knowledge among disciplines, in particular in the life sciences field. I am in the happy position of being able to go some way toward granting his seasonal wish by pointing him and The Scientist readers to the United Kingdom's Foresight Programme, which currently includes a project that is bringing together scientific communities working on artificial and biological cognitive systems.
