A pair of calves was born about eight months ago in Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park.

It’s estimated that 1 percent of all conceptions in elephants results in twins. Recently, conservationists working in Tanzania spotted a pair of twin elephant calves—one male and one female—in Tarangire National Park. The siblings are about eight months old and are both doing well, according to a statement.
