The goal of our team has been a better understanding of HIV infection and disease, focusing on the largest cohort of patients with hemophilia reported to date. "Like the contributors, the paper has several angles. These include estimates of HIV annual incidence and prevalence; annual and cumulative AIDS incidence measured from estimated date of HIV infection; and time-dependent markers of AIDS risk, such as CD4-lymphocyte and interferon levels.
