Regarding the article on the 10/90 gap,1 and a Médecins sans Frontières initiative on neglected diseases, the Global Forum for Health Research was established precisely to help correct this 10/90 gap in health research: that is, the misallocation of funding that means that less than 10% of the US $73 billion spent annually by the public and private sectors combined goes to 90% of the world's health problems.
