Pluripotent stem cells are known for the need to grow as colonies in order to prevent differentiation. This adds complexity to the isolation/expansion of clonal populations following research techniques such as gene editing or induced pluripotent stem cell (iPS) reprogramming. Have you ever wished you could isolate and expand clonal lines of pluripotent stem cells via limiting dilution starting from a single cell? Now you can.

PluriQ™ G9™ Cloning Medium (Cat # GSM-9020) supports single cell plating and clonal expansion of human iPS or ES cells while maintaining pluripotency. By setting up a limiting dilution to achieve a single cell/well, ~ 40% of wells result in a single cell expanding to a healthy pluripotent stem cell colony. It is a complete, ready-to-use medium supporting xeno-free, feeder-free growth from a single pluripotent stem cell. While optimized using cultures originating in PluriQ™ G9™ Maintenance Medium (Cat # GSK-9001) and plating on G9™ ...
