Contributions To Research, Education In The Field Ho-Leung Fung, 52, chairman of the pharmaceutics department at the University of Buffalo, has been honored with the Takeru and Aya Higuchi Memorial Award from the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology in Japan. Ho-Leung Fung LEGACY: University of Buffalo's Ho-Leung Fung was honored with an award named for his mentor. The prize is presented biennially to a non-Japanese scientist who has made significant contributions to pharmaceutical sciences and international pharmaceutical education. The Higuchi Award recognizes the late Takeru Higuchi and his wife, Aya, for their contributions to the field.
