Friday, September 25th, 2026
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM ET

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a heterogeneous neurodegenerative disease with substantial variability in its underlying biology, clinical presentation, and rate of progression. This complexity creates an urgent need for biomarkers that can capture disease-associated molecular changes, improve early detection and prognosis, and support the development and evaluation of new therapeutic strategies.

In this webinar, Prof. Alberto Catanese and Clare Paterson will explore emerging biomarker research in ALS and discuss how advances in ultrasensitive, multiplex proteomics are revealing molecular signatures associated with neurodegeneration, inflammation, and disease progression. The speakers will examine how these approaches are expanding researchers' understanding of ALS biology and helping bridge the gap between biomarker discovery and future clinical applications.

Topics to be covered

  • Emerging biomarker research in ALS
  • Molecular heterogeneity in neurodegenerative disease
  • Ultrasensitive multiplex proteomics for biomarker discovery
  • Protein signatures associated with neurodegeneration and inflammation
  • Biomarkers for monitoring ALS disease progression
  • Translating biomarker discoveries toward clinical applications
  • Opportunities for proteomics in therapeutic development
