New Chemistry Periodical Is Publishing On Diskette

Volume one, number one, of the first scientific journal to be simultaneously published in hard copy and on computer diskette has been released by Tetrahedron Publications, a division of Pergamon Press. Called Tetrahedron Computer Methodology—or TCM— and touting itself as “the international electronic journal for rapid publication of original research in computer chemistry,” the new publication also is the first chemical journal to offer scientific research reports that are electronically typeset directly from authors’ computer-readable text.

Fast-Moving Field

The premier issue includes articles from authors in the United States, France, West Germany, Japan, and Italy. To stimulate the interest of future contributors, it promises that acceptable manuscripts will be published quickly— within 90 days. In this respect, TCM joins two other journals produced by Tetrahedron Publica- tions: Tetrahedron and Tetrahedron Letters.
