Digital PCR: The Journey to Superior Data

With digital PCR (dPCR), researchers accurately and precisely quantitate nucleic acid samples.

Share

Digital PCR (dPCR) is a rediscovered method that researchers use for the absolute quantification of nucleic acid samples. Compared to quantitative real-time PCR, dPCR is more sensitive, precise, and tolerant to inhibitors, making it more appropriate to analyze cell and gene therapies (CGTs) during production. However, incorrectly designed dPCR experiments yield low-quality data, which scientists can avoid by following the Minimum Information for Publication of Quantitative Digital PCR Experiments (dMIQE) guidelines.
