There's a rumor going round the exhibition hall that Bono made an unannounced visit yesterday morning. Our very own director of business development, Jeremy Abbate, told me that Bono was walking around the hall and even visited our exhibition stand. Apparently Bono was attracted to our newly launched biotechnology magazine linkurl:Biotech360;http://www.biotech360.com/ , as it features the headline __Can biotechnology save the developing world__ on the front cover, though I think that he would have been more attracted to the cool red Vespa scooter that we are giving away to one lucky attendee. It certainly seems plausible that the rock star turned crusader for developing world causes would attend a conference dedicated this year to global ventures. But the cynic in me wonders if this was the real Bono. He didn't give a speech as far as I can tell, and I remember one BIO in San Francisco where there was a whole host of celebrity lookalikes roaming round the hall... I have photos somewhere of me with Elvis and Elton John, but that's another story. So, can anyone confirm or refute the sighting?
