Advancing Genomic Medicine: Exploring Applications of Digital PCR

Genomic medicine has attracted a lot of attention in the last year in an effort to unravel the complexities of disease and develop targeted therapies. Although much progress had been made in genomic sequencing and analysis, technical challenges persist in the rapid and accurate detection of genetic variants in clinical samples. The Scientist brings together a panel of experts to discuss advances in the use of digital PCR to analyze copy number variation and point mutations. Topics to be covered include the use of digital PCR to verify genome editing in induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells and the application of digital PCR for clinical virology diagnostics. Attendees will have an opportunity to interact with the experts, ask questions, and seek advice on topics that are related to their research.
