Kreeger, The Scientist, March 4, 1996, page 1), incorrect information was given about funding for a temporary secretariat formed by the Tri-Council Program of the Canadian government. The secretariat has guaranteed funding through fiscal year 1996-97.

In the article "10-Year-Old Arthritis Institute Goes Beyond Aches And Pains Of Joints" (K.Y. Kreeger, The Scientist, March 18, 1996, page 13), incorrect information was given about funding of intramural research at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases. At the institute, $19.3 million goes for intramural research, with $9.7 million funding research management and support. The latter category encompasses overall administration and coordination of the managerial and scientific programs of the institute, including both extramural and intramural programs.
