To prepare pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) on a large scale for cell therapy applications, scientists must carefully dissociate aggregates while minimizing error. This is typically done in a water bath, which can contaminate PSC samples. Dissociating cells and spheroids in a closed system reduces the risk of error and processes samples more quickly than a water bath.
