I dread to think what would happen if there was an election for 'President of the galaxy.' On the other hand, it might be nice to ship off some of our has-been politicians into deep space.

There is a high probability that there is life "out there." If a planet or a star is a living thing, then there's plenty of it. But, would we like to meet creatures not unlike ourselves?
