Science and the Single Mom

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your article on Dr. King.1 As a woman, I feel so proud that she could achieve this height in science, although I feel sad that she had to end up as a single mother. I [hope that] today's generation does not have to do this. I am a scientist but have made a choice of taking a break in my scientific career, and now I am trying to get back into it.
