" Are the new high-Tc superconducting materials going to be useful? It has recently been possible to deposit high-quality superconducting films without post-annealing. The deposition temperature is now lowered to approximately 400°C Such temperatures are compatible with semiconductor device processing.

" The fascinating world of reduced dimensionality has been converging to a point in the last couple of years. The patterning of microstructures has allowed studies of an electron gas as it is confined in one dimension and then in zero dimensions. Two recent papers zero in on zero dimensions.
