Lisa Jones-Engel, PhD is a primate scientist, Fulbright scholar and former academic insider within the U.S. primate research system, with more than four decades of experience spanning laboratory science, fieldwork, and global health. Her research has focused on zoonotic disease transmission at the human–primate interface. Now a chief science advisor to PETA she analyzes the scientific, regulatory, and biosecurity failures underlying primate experimentation.
