BRYANT W. ROSSITER has joined ICN Pharmaceuticals as vice president, and as president of ICN's subsidiary, Viratek Inc. Viratek produces nucleic acid-derived pharmaceuticals. Rossiter was formerly director of science and technology development at Eastman Kodak's research laboratories.

THE "CLUB OF EARTH" issued its first statement this month at the National Forum on BioDiversity sponsored by the National Academy of Sciences and the .Smithsonian Institution. Nine leading scientists founded the group to call attention to the destruction of the world's species. They recommend that scientists "routinely be con-suited when issues of development, resource use, population policy, economic policy, and the like are being considered by governments."
