BIOTECHNOLOGY

Training program for research in molecular biology and biotechnology. $188,900 from University of California system's Biotechnology Research and Education Program to University of California, Santa Barbara; J. Carbon

BIOMEDICINE

Professorship in urology. $1.5 million from the Greer Garson Foundation, Dallas, to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas

Neurosciences. $400,000 over two years from the Pew Memorial Trust to the Neuroscience Research Foundation, New York, as follows: $162,000 to establish a program of Institute Fellows in Theoretical Neurobiology, $100,000 to expand the Summer Atelier in Theoretical Neurobiology, $118,000 to enhance communication between the basic and clinical sciences, and $20,000 for support services

Fellowships for cancer research. $35,000 renewal grant from the American Honda Foundation, Torrance, Calif., to the Hipple Cancer Research Center, Dayton, Ohio

Genetic mechanisms associated with childhood leukemia. $25,000 from the Amoco Foundation to the Illinois Chapter of the Leukemia Society of America C. M. Rubin, assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Chicago Medical Center

COMPUTER SCIENCE

Establishment of an NIH Bioresources Technology Center. $2.6 million over five years from NIH Division of Research Resources to Drexel University's Image Processing Center. 0. Tretiak, D. McEachron, C.R. Gallistel, N.T. Adler
