Training and education of University of Texas and Indonesian geologists and development of a new geological base in Irian Jaya, Indonesia, $1 million over three years from Freeport-McMoRan Inc., New Orleans, La., to the University of Texas, Austin: R.E. Boyer.
GENERAL SCIENCE
Strengthening of academic departments and support for individual science and engineering researchers in four states. $1 .8 million each over three years from NSF to Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, and South Dakota.
