Useful and popular, there are plenty of nonrefrigerated microcentrifuges to choose from across a spectrum of styles, features,, and prices. LabConsumer contacted 19 manufacturers and dealers of nearly 50 nonrefrigerated microcentrifuges in compiling data for this profile. With the exception of a handful of centrifuges, the most common maximum speeds range between 12,000 and 15,000 rpm. Two machines, the MIKRO 24-48 and the EBA 12, both products of Andreas Hettich GmbH & Co KG, run at speeds up to 18,000 rpm. The MIKRO 24-48 also cranks out the highest maximum g-force seen in the profile of 27,100 xg. Otherwise, g-forces fall most often between 11,000 to 18,000 xg, with ...
