" Two new sets of reliable data show that most of the Deccan traps of India were generated 66.6 million to 68.5 million years ago and 65 million to 69 million years ago, respectively. This lends support to the suggestion that the traps could have been responsible for the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinctions.
