UVP Inc. of Upland, Calif., introduces the BioWest(tm) Chemiluminescent Kit, a horseradish peroxidase-based kit for nonisotopic Western blot and ELISA detection. The substrate offers 25 times more sensitivity and uses 25-50 times less primary antibody than other peroxidase- based kits. BioWest produces a 24-hour signal and can detect proteins present in the femtogram range; the substrate is designed for use with CCD camera detection systems.
