Bringing Cell Separation into Balance

Counterflow centrifugation balances opposing forces to gently and efficiently process cells.

Share

Scientists typically separate and process their cells by traditional centrifugation. This technique generates shear stress and can contribute to sample contamination. In contrast, counterflow centrifugation (CFC) takes advantage of forces within fluid samples that are similar to those felt while skydiving to gently suspend and separate cells. CFC instruments rapidly and safely process cells in scalable systems with reduced contamination risks.

Download this ebook from Thermo Fisher Scientific to learn how CFC works and discover its practical applications for cell and gene therapy development and beyond.
