CLARIFICATION On page 15 of the Dec. 9, 1991, issue of The Scientist, an omission was made regarding the 1979 discovery that led to an understanding of taxol's mechanism of action. The research was carried out primarily by Peter Schiff, who at the time was a graduate student in the laboratory of Susan Horwitz at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
