This morning former vice president Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) were awarded the linkurl:2007 Nobel Prize; "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change." According to a linkurl:statement; posted on his Web site, Gore plans to donate his share of the 10 million kronor ($1.56 million) prize to the linkurl:Alliance for Climate Protection.;
