SARS-CoV-2 can result in long COVID, a phenomenon where chronic symptoms persist for months or years after the initial acute infection. Long COVID can present in many ways, ranging from respiratory problems to memory loss. As such, pinpointing the underlying causes of this chronic illness has been difficult.

In this webinar from The Scientist, Manali Mukherjee and Grace Lam will explore what is known about long COVID, what still needs to be explored, and what lessons researchers need to learn from the data.

Topics to be covered

  • What is currently understood about long COVID
  • What is and is not long COVID
  • Long COVID heterogeneity
