The New Jersey Stem Cell Institute is a $150 million project intended to be an 18-story research hub in New Brunswick, NJ, uniting more than 50 stem cell researchers currently spread throughout the state. linkurl:Last November;http://www.the-scientist.com/blog/display/53843/ New Jersey voters voted against linkurl:borrowing $450 million;http://www.the-scientist.com/news/home/53836/ of state money to fund stem cell science. Regardless, state leaders said construction on the institute would continue. But three weeks after construction started on the building, the project was halted.
