Sanders says he's running because "I'm just disgusted with what's going on in Washington." He adds: "I've spent a lifetime trying to solve problems and bring people together, and I have unique real-world experience which would serve well in Washington."
If Sanders manages to score a primary win and go on to defeat Helms, he will find few fellow scientists...
