“Paragon” means “a model of excellence,” and Paragon Chemical Technologies, located just north of Philadelphia in Horsham, Pa., strives to be just that in its offerings of technology development, process development, custom manufacturing, and outsourcing to life sciences and chemical companies.

Paragon’s CEO is Fereydon Abdesaken. His twenty-year career with Philadelphia-based Rohm and Haas included an international business focus and several years in Italy. He worked in both R&D and manufacturing at that company, and in 1994, he embarked on a long association with reliable Chinese manufacturers. In 2003, along with his Rohm and Haas colleague Robert Rosen, Abdesaken founded Paragon in the Greater Philadelphia area to offer new customers his skills and experience in the Chinese and global markets.
