Students at my institution are now using PowerPoint for even the most trivial of presentations, and I have long worried that form is taking precedence over content.1 In the spirit of the last sentence of your article, I have decided to not allow such presentations in my senior seminar course on the evolution of sex and reproduction next semester. This will hopefully give students a chance to concentrate on content and not what title and background colors complement one another.
