Innova Biosciences adds ALEXA Fluor 488 to Lightning-Link range of antibody labeling kits

Innova Biosciences (Innova), a specialist provider of bioconjugation products and services, today announced it has added ALEXA Fluor® 488, one of the most popular fluorescent labels used by life science researchers, to its Lightning-Link® range of antibody and protein labeling kits.

Using secondary antibodies for fluorescent detection based applications is commonly associated with issues such as high background fluorescence and non-specific binding. The addition of the ALEXA Fluor 488 label to Lightning-Link kits now enables easy, direct conjugation of the label to primary antibodies.

Lightning-Link allows for conjugation of antibodies and proteins in less than 20 minutes, using a very simple protocol which is free of separation steps, saving researchers time and precious materials. Researchers also have the flexibility to label from as little as 10µg of their antibody to hundreds of milligrams.
