We'll look at such factors as cost of living and also point out the main attractions in the private and public sectors of each region. In this article, we'll cover the Northeast. Our boundaries might not be a true geographer's boundaries, but for our purposes, the Northeast includes the Washington, D.C., region. Next will be the South, from Virginia to Florida to Texas, and including Tennessee and Kentucky. Third will be Middle America. Then the Southwest, including California and stretching over to Hawaii. And last will be the Northwest, Oregon to Alaska.
