The device integrates a battery-powered electrochemical channel that transports intravascular blood glucose to the skin surface, and an ultrathin, nanostructured biosensor absorbs and measures the glucose.
In a human clinical trial, the measurements taken from the new sensor showed a high correlation with clinically measured blood glucose levels.
