SequaStrip™ Tips from Embi Tec
Mention multipipette tips for sequencing gels to DNA sequencers and see their eyes light up. Embi Tec, a San Diego-based company, is introducing to the sequencing community a handy device for loading sequencing gels that can save time and significantly reduce the effort required. SequaStrip™ Tips are the first and only eight-strip tips specially designed for sequencing gels. The strips make light work of gel loading; with them, you can load 64 wells on a sequencing gel in less than five minutes.

Manufactured by Sorenson Bioscience (Salt Lake City, Utah) and using its patented tip design--flattened to fit between even the most closely spaced electrophoresis plates--this elegant strip incorporates the age-old Roman arch design to provide an inflexible structure, which keeps the tips straight and ensures proper loading of even the thinnest gel.
