Anna Cresswell and Michael Renton of the University of Western Australia have developed a 3-D model named Coralcraft that simulates how hard corals grow and compete in different space and light conditions. They are researching how the speed of growth and morphology are related to the overall structure of the community and what happens when there are disturbances to the environment.
