With your input, this year's Best Places to Work in Academia survey will highlight what you think is most important in defining a great workplace. Already, some of your institutions have taken notice of what you have said. Listen to our recent podcast with last year's top two schools to see how they responded to their employees' opinions. Take a few minutes to fill out our survey (you can do it anonymously), and add your opinion to the pool. Every vote counts. Then in November, find out how your institution fared against others in the factors you ranked most important, and use the data to help you decide your next career move. In 2006, scientists ranked St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in Memphis, Tennessee, number 1. See what you voted as the top institutions in the United Kingdom and Canada. This year we want to cover academic institutes in more geographical areas, so help us rank all of the institutions around the world by taking part in this year's survey.Help us paint the most accurate picture of your institution by completing our survey and e-mailing the link to your friends and colleagues. We want to know - in your words - what you love and hate about your research institution. For our part we'll extract the most compelling details and report on how the top institutions compare in terms of funding, publications and citation data.Give us your honest appraisal of your institution here.
