The Scientist has already gotten some outstanding submissions to our annual Top 10 Innovations competition, and we'd love to have even more. We've extended the deadline from September 19th to the 21st. If you developed a product, procedure, or software that went on the market or into practice anytime after October 2011, you should join the contest before the end of this Friday, September 21st. We've selected a panel of expert judges to sift through the submissions and pick the 10 best, which will be announced in our December issue.

In years past, we’ve highlighted products like a microscope that can work with the optics contained in a cell phone, knockout rats, and a mini-MRI machine.
