The Baker Company appoints Vice President & Commercial Director, Baker Europe

The Baker Company, Inc. ("Baker") headquartered in Sanford, Maine U.S.A is pleased to announce the appointment of Diko Strietman to Vice President & Commercial Director, Baker Europe. Mr. Strietman will serve as Baker's top commercial executive representing each of the operating companies and associated brands within the EMEA. In this capacity he will guide strategic growth plans as well as provide oversight and direction over the commercial activities and customer facing personnel within Europe and the UK.

Most recently serving as the Vice President, Marketing EU for Avantor, delivered by VWR (formerly VWR Scientific), Mr. Strietman led sales and marketing teams in the promotion of laboratory products to the life sciences industry, across various product categories. There he demonstrated success in product/channel management, customer segmentation, and business development for scientific instruments and services. He worked closely with sales and marketing teams to develop a global platform designed to support the execution of goals and objectives for increasing regional market share by delivering solutions that create and add value for customers. Prior to his work at VWR Avantor, Diko acted as Sales Manager for Clean Air Techniek, where he gained in depth knowledge of biosafety cabinets and helped build distribution throughout the Benelux region and other export markets.
