Biochemical Pharmacology this week retracted seven papers from Bharat Aggarwal, who has studied the physiological effects of curcumin at MD Anderson Cancer Center. As Retraction Watch reported today (February 22), all of the retraction notices state that “the data integrity has become questionable.”

In all seven papers, figures were reused (and, in cases, manipulated to represent different results), according to the retraction notices.

Aggarwal is the subject of an institutional investigation and already has corrections, expressions of concern, and two “withdrawals” to his name.
